10 Apps for Seamless Office Workflow Across Devices

Posted Fri, February 22, 2019

Here at OneSOURCE Managed Services, we offer top-of-the-line workflow solutions for your office including a data-driven approach to document management, document capture and retrieval with KwikTag, eCopy smart document scanning, Unity Desktop Professional character recognition software, and the FlowCM cloud-based document and content management system that takes the burden off local document storage.

However, we know not all your work is done at your desk, so we’ve researched some useful apps that will integrate seamlessly with these solutions to provide efficiency in an increasingly mobile work environment. Some are focused on scanning and printing, and others are for general productivity.

Xerox Mobile Link App

Available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the Xerox Mobile Link App captures the power of a Xerox multi-function printer (MFP) scanner on a smartphone. You can acquire, manage, and send data from this three-in-one mobile link app.

Xerox Print Portal App

When used with the Xerox Mobile Print Portal, this app allows smartphone and tablet users to connect securely to network printers. It is available for both Apple and Android devices.

Mopria™ Print Service

Using a mobile printing industry standard, this app provides basic printing for Xerox, HP, and other printers from Android devices.

HP Smart app

This app allows you to scan documents and images with your mobile device camera and share or print them to any HP printer that’s on the same wireless network as your mobile device. It’s available for iOS and Android.

HP Voice-Activated Printing

Want to talk to your printer? This app makes it possible to do just that using these popular voice assistants: Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Cortana. Features and capabilities vary depending on the appliance.

HP ePrint

This feature lets you print from anywhere using an internet connection. Simply email the document or photo directly to an HP printer that is connected to the internet and has an email address.

Todoist

Since your work is not all about scanning and printing documents, we recommend this app to help you organize tasks and stay productive. Referred to as a “fitness tracker for your productivity,” Todoist tracks tasks and scores your productivity for the day and the week. It is available for iOS and Android devices.

Trello

Another way to plan your work is with this virtual bulletin board. Trello is built around kanban boards with cards that hold your ideas and lists to organize them. It’s great for brainstorming ideas and collaborating with your team. You can download it from the Apple store or from Google Play.

Cloze

If your address book has become unwieldy, this may be the app for you. A smart customer relationship management (CRM) tool, Cloze puts all of the contact information at your fingertips: email, phone calls, meetings, notes, follow-ups, and social networks. It can find who in your contact list is connected and lets you locate contacts even if you only remember a bit of information about them. It’s available for iOS and Android devices.

Zoom

Need to make video calls with your team in remote locations?  Zoom can provide the answer, supporting up to 100 people on a call. It has built-in call recording, text chat, and screen sharing. There is also a virtual whiteboard to sketch ideas while you’re on the call. Download it from the Apple store or Google Play.

We hope you’ll find these apps useful and that you’ll reach out to our team for professional assistance with all your print management needs. Contact us at 800-886-6674 or use this handy form for your inquiry.
